This new house uses Greek Revival farmhouse proportions and details to fit into its seaside site. The owner wished the house to look as if it has always been there. The plan is a pinwheel so that each of the major rooms has a unique view; each side of the house has its own garden. The rooms shown are the living room and sun porch, looking south over Marblehead Bay and the croquet lawn.
Certified lumber was used wherever possible, and all finishes and materials are natural. Much of the interior woodwork and cabinetry will be locally made.
