Children's Circus Summer Camp, Vermont (schematic phase) |
|
|
 |
| An internationally known children's circus is building a summer training
camp on an old farm site in Vermont. The complex will eventually include
a dining hall, camp office, cabins, bath houses, and a training barn. The
structures are to be simple and nestled into the woody site, yet they will
reflect the vigor and gaiety of a gypsy circus.

The training barn will be located on the site of the old dairy barn and
about the same size (45' x 90'). It will, however, have an unusual shape
with its octagonal ends. A modern steel frame for aerial acrobatics will
be interwoven with a post-and-beam structural frame.
